Early Childhood Services provides family-centered early intervention services to children (birth through 3 years of age), who have or are at risk for developmental delay. Services support families and other caregiver’s in their efforts to promote optimal development in each child, by creatively developing strategies to help the child participate in the activities and routines that are of interest to the child and are most important to the family.
The services we offer include: Assistive Technology Services Adaptive Equipment and Services Audiological Services Family Education, Counseling and Home Visits including infant mental health Health Services (to enable the child to benefit from other early intervention services) Medical Services (for diagnostic and evaluation purposes) Nutrition Services Occupational Therapy Physical Therapy Psychological Services Social Work Services Special Instruction (developmental consultation) Speech/Language Pathology Services Transportation (to enable the child/family to receive early intervention services) Vision Services
New Vistas Early Childhood Capabilities New Vistas has been providing early intervention to infants and toddlers since 1971. New Vistas Early Childhood Program has demonstrated and documented the following capabilities: - Quality Assurance: Accurate and timely information is used for decision-making and oversight of services. Quality assurance procedures provide the means of evaluating the efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction of services.
- Financing Systems: New Vistas effectively coordinate multiple funding sources to assure that all children and families receive the services they need.
- Personnel: Adequate numbers of qualified personnel from multiple disciplines provide early intervention. Qualified personnel are of the diversity of children and families they serve. Our professional staff average 18.5 years of experience in the field with an average length of time at New Vistas of 6.5 years.
